Parody
The creators of Homestar Runner developed a game known as Peasant's Quest. The game is mostly a parody of the first King's Quest game, but also references the second through fourth games in the series. Peasant's Quest also somewhat references Black Cauldron. In this game, the "hero" is a peasant who swears revenge upon a mighty, rampaging dragon known as Trogdor (created by Strong Bad in the email "dragon") after Trogdor "burninates" his thatched roof cottage.

Famous quotes containing the word parody:
“Pushkins composition is first of all and above all a phenomenon of style, and it is from this flowered rim that I have surveyed its seep of Arcadian country, the serpentine gleam of its imported brooks, the miniature blizzards imprisoned in round crystal, and the many-hued levels of literary parody blending in the melting distance.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
“Why does almost everything seem to me like its own parody? Why must I think that almost all, no, all the methods and conventions of art today are good for parody only?”
—Thomas Mann (18751955)
“Satire is a lesson, parody is a game.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
