YIMBY
YIMBY is an acronym for Yes In My Back Yard in contrast and opposition to the NIMBY phenomenon. YIMBY can be described as something the people demand be put in their area. Informal YIMBY coalitions exist in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Uppsala, Oslo, Phoenix, Seattle, Toronto and elsewhere to provide community support for affordable housing or market-rate property development over the objections of NIMBY, BANANA and bureaucratic opponents.
