Xiaotangshan

Xiaotangshan (simplified Chinese: 小汤山; traditional Chinese: 小湯山; pinyin: Xiǎotāngshān) is a small town in the Changping District of Beijing in the People's Republic of China. It is the location of the Xiaotangshan Modern Agricultural Science Demonstration Park- the largest modern agricultural park in China. With a total area of 70.1 square kilometers, Xiaotangshan has rich geothermal resources. It also appeared in the news in May 2003 when the government hastily built a 1000-bed field hospital there to deal with an outbreak of SARS.
