Famous quotes containing the words visual, instruction and/or set:
“Nowadays peoples visual imagination is so much more sophisticated, so much more developed, particularly in young people, that now you can make an image which just slightly suggests something, they can make of it what they will.”
—Robert Doisneau (b. 1912)
“Much of the pressure contemporary parents feel with respect to dressing children in designer clothes, teaching young children academics, and giving them instruction in sports derives directly from our need to use our children to impress others with our economic surplus. We find good rather than real reasons for letting our children go along with the crowd.”
—David Elkind (20th century)
“I set out on this ground, which I suppose to be self evident, that the earth belongs in usufruct to the living: that the dead have neither powers nor rights over it.”
—Thomas Jefferson (17431826)
