Structure
In order to avoid mismanagement and corruption that has plagued many other Pacific trust funds, the government established a management structure that includes:
- Board of Directors, with each appointed by an original donor
- Professional fund management
- International, external auditors
- Advisory committee (each original donor has a member on the committee)
One important element of the fund in order to avoid overdrawing to fund unauthorised projects, is the "separation of fund capital from fund proceeds available for distribution."

Famous quotes containing the word structure:
“When a house is tottering to its fall,
The strain lies heaviest on the weakest part,
One tiny crack throughout the structure spreads,
And its own weight soon brings it toppling down.”
—Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso)
“It is difficult even to choose the adjective
For this blank cold, this sadness without cause.
The great structure has become a minor house.
No turban walks across the lessened floors.
The greenhouse never so badly needed paint.”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
“The verbal poetical texture of Shakespeare is the greatest the world has known, and is immensely superior to the structure of his plays as plays. With Shakespeare it is the metaphor that is the thing, not the play.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
