Tunisia ( i/tuːˈniːʒə/ two-NEE-zhə or /tjuːˈnɪziə/ tew-NIZ-iə; Arabic: تونس‎ Tūnis ; French: Tunisie), officially the Republic of Tunisia (Arabic: الجمهورية التونسية‎ al-Jumhūriyyah at-Tūnisiyyah; Berber: Tagduda n Tunes; French: République tunisienne), is the smallest country in North Africa. It is an Arab Maghreb country bordered by Algeria to the west, Libya to the southeast and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east.
