Quadrem

Quadrem is procurement support organization in the mining industry. It is one of the eMarketplace projects launched in 2000 to support the purchasing process of mining industry businesses when collaboration and creation of international standards were possible with the wider use of Internet. Quadrem is one of the few remaining eMarketplace projects still active, most likely because of its direct global world approach and strong support by the participating businesses. Its activities include promotion of a durable economy and the empowerment of minorities. It is also taking an active role in the UNSPSC classification program and standardization of communication between suppliers and purchasers.
