Qin (state)
The State of Qin (Chinese: 秦國, 秦国, Qínguó; Old Chinese: Dzin-kwək; 778 – 207 BC) was a Chinese feudal state that existed during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods of Chinese history. It emerged as one of the dominant powers of the Seven Warring States by the 3rd century BC, eventually defeating the other major states and unifying China under its rule in 221 BC, after which it is referred to as the Qin Dynasty.
