Public Campaign is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to sweeping reform that aims to dramatically reduce the role of big special interest money in American politics. Public Campaign works to bring publicly funded elections to local, state, and federal elections. Already, seven states and two cities have some form of publicly funded elections.
Based in Washington, DC, Public Campaign was founded in 1997. Nick Nyhart, the organization's president, is known across the reform community for his years of grassroots experience and dedication to Clean Elections reform.
