Inclination Entangled With Other Orbital Elements
An important subtlety of performing an inclination change is that Keplerian orbital inclination is defined by the angle between ecliptic North and the vector normal to the orbit plane, (i.e. the angular momentum vector). This means that inclination is always positive and is entangled with other orbital elements primarily the argument of periapsis which is in turn connected to the longitude of the ascending node. This can result in two very different orbits with precisely the same inclination.

Famous quotes containing the words inclination, entangled and/or elements:
“It is impossible that had Buonaparte descended from a race of vegetable feeders that he could have had either the inclination or the power to ascend the throne of the Bourbons.”
—Percy Bysshe Shelley (17921822)
“Tis going, I own, like the Knight of the Woeful Countenance, in quest of melancholy adventuresbut I know not how it is, but I am never so perfectly conscious of the existence of a soul within me, as when I am entangled in them.”
—Laurence Sterne (17131768)
“The elements of success in this business do not differ from the elements of success in any other. Competition is keen and bitter. Advertising is as large an element as in any other business, and since the usual avenues of successful exploitation are closed to the profession, the adage that the best advertisement is a pleased customer is doubly true for this business.”
—Madeleine [Blair], U.S. prostitute and madam. Madeleine, ch. 5 (1919)
