Omichund

Omichund or Amir Chand (died 1767) was a man in colonial India, whose name is indelibly associated with the treaty negotiated by Robert Clive before the Battle of Plassey in 1757. His real name was Amir Chand, and he was not a Bengali, as stated by Macaulay, but a Sikh from the Punjab region.
