Noricum
Noricum, within the context of ancient history, is the Latin name for a Celtic kingdom, or federation of twelve tribes, including most of modern Austria and part of Slovenia. It became a province of the Roman Empire. It was bounded by the Danube on the north, by the Raetia and the Vindelicia in the west, by Pannonia in the east and southeast, and by the Italia (Venetia et Histria) in the south.
