Next plc (LSE: NXT) is a British retailer marketing clothing, footwear, accessories and home products with its headquarters in Enderby, Leicestershire, England. The company has over 550 stores throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, and around 50 franchise branches in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
Next PLC also has ownership of the clothing retailer Lipsy The company was founded in London in 1990 and was acquired by Next PLC (LSE: NXT) in 2008.It now employs over 500 people and operates 25 retail stores in the UK and the Ireland.
As of 2012, Next is the United Kingdom's largest clothing retailer when the company over took Marks & Spencer in early 2012, and continues to grow rapidly as a company.
