These snacks and "fingerfood" are very popular in Hong Kong, especially for folks on the run. Famous quotes containing the word food:

Lead bullets flattened by human teeth have been found on the camp site. Soldiers who had been caught stealing food from nearby farms customarily chewed on a bullet as the lash was laid on their bare backs.
—For the State of New Jersey, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

But if envy makes me sicken at the sight of everything that is excellent out of my own possession, then will the sweetest food be sharp as vinegar, and every beauty will in my depraved eyes appear as deformity.
    Sarah Fielding (1710–1768)

To say that a work of art is good, but incomprehensible to the majority of men, is the same as saying of some kind of food that it is very good but that most people can’t eat it.
    Leo Tolstoy (1828–1910)
