Famous quotes containing the words internal, revenue and/or service:

Even if fathers are more benignly helpful, and even if they spend time with us teaching us what they know, rarely do they tell us what they feel. They stand apart emotionally: strong perhaps, maybe caring in a nonverbal, implicit way; but their internal world remains mysterious, unseen, “What are they really like?” we ask ourselves. “What do they feel about us, about the world, about themselves?”
    Augustus Y. Napier (20th century)

Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding, for her income is better than silver, and her revenue better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called happy.
    Bible: Hebrew, Proverbs 3:13-18.

O good old man, how well in thee appears
The constant service of the antique world,
When service sweat for duty, not for meed!
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
