Famous quotes containing the words early, life and/or family:
“For the writer, there is nothing quite like having someone say that he or she understands, that you have reached them and affected them with what you have written. It is our need to know we are not alone.”
—Virginia Hamilton (b. 1936)
“From age eleven to age sixteen I lived a spartan life without the usual adolescent uncertainty. I wanted to be the best swimmer in the world, and there was nothing else.”
—Diana Nyad (b. 1949)
“Like all the best families, we have our share of eccentricities, of impetuous and wayward youngsters and of family disagreements.”
—Elizabeth II (b. 1926)
