AIESEC
AIESEC (pronounced "aie-sek") is a global youth organization that develops leadership capabilities through their internal leadership programs and engages students and graduates in international student exchange and internship programs for profit and non-profit organizations. The acronym stands for "Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales" or "International Economic and Commercial Sciences Students Association", however the acronym is no longer in use as it is outdated. Its international office is in Rotterdam, Netherlands. As of August 2012, the AIESEC network includes over 86,000 members in 113 countries and territories. It is the largest student run organizations in the world, being present in over 2,400 universities across the globe, provides more than 24,000 leadership experiences to its members and sends students and graduates on 20,000 international exchanges yearly. AIESEC is supported by over 8,000 of partner organizations around the globe who look to AIESEC to support the development of youth and to access talented individuals keen on personal growth.
