Ahlam

Ahlam Ali Al Shamsi (Arabic: أحلام علي الشامسي‎) (born 1969), commonly known as Ahlam (Arabic: أحلام‎) is a leading female singer from the UAE. In 2006, she signed to record label major Rotana and has so far released two successful albums under its name, El Thokol Sana'a (2006) and Hatha Ana (2009). She has, in total, ten albums to her name, and is popular throughout the Middle East, particularly among Arab nations of the Persian Gulf. In 2011, Ahlam joined MBC's Arab Idol judging panel alongside Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and Egyptian composer Hassan El Shafei.
