Zubtsov

Zubtsov (Russian: Зубцо́в) is a town and the administrative center of Zubtsovsky District of Tver Oblast, Russia, located at the confluence of the Volga and Vazuza Rivers, 153 kilometers (95 mi) south of Tver, 18 kilometers (11 mi) southeast of Rzhev, and 44 kilometers (27 mi) southwest of Staritsa. Population: 6,927 (2010 Census); 7,430 (2002 Census); 7,630 (1989 Census); 8,100 (1998 est.).
