Zoo TV Live is a live album by the Irish rock band U2. It was released exclusively to subscribing members of U2's official site, replacing U2.COMmunication on 20 November 2006. This double CD features the same material that is on the Zoo TV: Live from Sydney VHS and DVD releases, as well as one bonus track from the Zoo TV special, "Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World." Although U2's website refers to the album as ZOO2Live, the album is titled Zoo TV Live according to the actual CDs. This album was discontinued from the website for the release of U2 Go Home: Live from Slane Castle in 2007. Recently for the U2.com 2012/13 subscriber offer, the album was included as part of a 'bundle' edition along with U22 and 11 instant downloads from U22.
Famous quotes containing the words zoo and/or live:
“...there was the annual Fourth of July picketing at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. ...I thought it was ridiculous to have to go there in a skirt. But I did it anyway because it was something that might possibly have an effect. I remember walking around in my little white blouse and skirt and tourists standing there eating their ice cream cones and watching us like the zoo had opened.”
—Martha Shelley, U.S. author and social activist. As quoted in Making History, part 3, by Eric Marcus (1992)
“Although the stupid, unthinking world may approve what you have done, in your heart you know that, but for your treachery, the boy you loved would be alive today. If anyone is responsible for his death, you killed him, and for that murder you will live and die in the contempt and loathing of your own heart.”
—Karl Brown (18971990)
