Campaigns and Later Life
Zhu Tong becomes one of the Eight Tiger Cubs Vanguard Generals of the Liangshan cavalry. He follows the Liangshan heroes on their campaigns against the Liao invaders and rebel forces after they have been granted amnesty by the emperor. He makes great contributions and is one of the few lucky survivors from Liangshan after the campaigns. He is offered an official post in recognition of his contributions and he accepts it. He joins Liu Guangshi in the subsequent war against the Jurchen-ruled Jin Dynasty and is promoted to a higher military rank for his achievements.

Famous quotes containing the words campaigns and/or life:
“That food has always been, and will continue to be, the basis for one of our greater snobbisms does not explain the fact that the attitude toward the food choice of others is becoming more and more heatedly exclusive until it may well turn into one of those forms of bigotry against which gallant little committees are constantly planning campaigns in the cause of justice and decency.”
—Cornelia Otis Skinner (19011979)
“I dont like your miserable lonely single front name. It is so limited, so meagre; it has no versatility; it is weighted down with the sense of responsibility; it is worn threadbare with much use; it is as bad as having only one jacket and one hat; it is like having only one relation, one blood relation, in the world. Never set a child afloat on the flat sea of life with only one sail to catch the wind.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
