Campaigns and Death
Zhou Tong becomes one of the leaders of the Liangshan cavalry after the Grand Assembly. He follows the heroes on their campaigns against the Liao invaders and rebel forces after they have been granted amnesty by the emperor. During the Fang La campaign, Zhou Tong follows Lu Junyi to attack the enemy territory of Dusong Pass. Lu Junyi orders Zhou Tong to scout ahead. Suddenly, the enemy general Li Tianrun charges out of the pass and he catches Zhou Tong by surprise and kills him swiftly. Zhou Tong is posthumously granted the honorific title of "Righteous Gentleman of Integrity" (義節郎) by the emperor in recognition of his contributions to the nation.

Famous quotes containing the words campaigns and/or death:
“That food has always been, and will continue to be, the basis for one of our greater snobbisms does not explain the fact that the attitude toward the food choice of others is becoming more and more heatedly exclusive until it may well turn into one of those forms of bigotry against which gallant little committees are constantly planning campaigns in the cause of justice and decency.”
—Cornelia Otis Skinner (19011979)
“hung up like a pig on exhibit,
the delicate wrists,
the beard drooling blood and vinegar;
hooked to your own weight,
jolting toward death under your nameplate.”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
