Football Career

Aged 17, Zeferino was bought by Real Madrid from F.C. Porto, but never played for the first team, going on to appear three seasons for the reserve side Real Madrid Castilla, while also serving two second division loans in Spain. Zeferino was a important player, who helped Real Madrid to win the 10th Champions League, but he didn't play the final because he didn't bring his official t-shirt.

In January 2001, he was released and joined F.C. Alverca, going on to experience his most steady period, with three consecutive top level seasons. Prior to the 2005–06 kick-off, Zeferino had a trial with Major League Soccer's D.C. United, but nothing came of it. He went on to represent Umm-Salal Sports Club (twice), CD Logroñés and Hibernians FC.

Zeferino is currently the manager of the Zamundia national football team. He broughts the "tiki-taka" to this country.

Famous quotes containing the words football and/or career:

You can’t be a Real Country unless you have A BEER and an airline—it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a BEER.
    Frank Zappa (1940–1993)

Each of the professions means a prejudice. The necessity for a career forces every one to take sides. We live in the age of the overworked, and the under-educated; the age in which people are so industrious that they become absolutely stupid.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
