Zartra is the name of two Atlantean women in n the Marvel Comics universe. The first character, created by Steve Gerber and Howard Chaykin, first appeared in Sub-Mariner #62 in February 1973. Within the context of the stories, she married King Kamuu and was murdered by an assassin during the sinking of Atlantis caused by the "Great Cataclysm." The second character was a Homo mermanus, and was the first empress of the undersea Atlantis.
