Zane Lamprey - Zane Lamprey's Three Sheets

Zane Lamprey's Three Sheets

After MOJO HD went off the air on December 1, 2008, Zane worked to find a network to pick up the Three Sheets television series. Several networks were approached about purchasing the series, including the former MOJO HD network, the Screaming Flea Productions.

On December 16, 2008 Zane Lamprey hosted a rally in Los Angeles, California which attracted about 400 people. A second rally on December 18, 2008 in New York City attracted about 700 people. The rallies were to draw attention to his show Three Sheets in hopes it would be picked up by other networks. During the NYC rally, the chairman of HDNet, Mark Cuban attended and expressed interest in acquiring the show.

February / March 2009 developments -

The show has been picked up by a new network and the details were to be put on Zane's official web site on March 16, 2009, however, the announcement stated
"While I did get 'the call' from the production company that Three Sheets has a new home, I've been told by MOJO HD that the deal is not yet done. SO... I can't make the official announcement yet. Some people jumped the gun by telling me that it was a done deal... That doesn't mean that it's not going to happen-- that means that it IS. It just has to be lawyered first... I can tell you that I've even been told to get ready to shoot season five. In fact, the 'official' announcement will probably happen this week. I'll post it here on my web site the moment I get the nod from the network. But, before you get frustrated and think that I didn't deliver... Read this... Although I have not spoken with the new network, or had them tell me not to say anything, I'm opting to let them decide when and how to make the public announcement. However, I did tell my close friends. And, one of those friends, who I won't name (Steve McKenna) spilled the beans at the party. So, if you're resource (and I know you are), a little fishing should leave you satisfied. Salud!"

Zane wrote on March 18, 2009:

I've spoken with the new network, and they've asked that I personally make the announcement Three Sheets will be gracing their network. But, they've asked that I wait until the deal is done-- when they assure me is by the end of this week, or early next week. So... Three Sheets is saved. And as soon as I get the official nod, I'll post it here on my web site. In the meantime, if you were at the party and heard Steve McKenna leak the news, please refrain from posting the name of the new network here. I gotta respect our new home. It'll only be a few days now. I promise!

On May 2, 2009 Zane hosted "Zano De Mayo", which became the "We Saved Three Sheets" party. At the function it was announced that the Fine Living Network (FLN) has purchased Three Sheets. Three Sheets was originally to begin airing on FLN on Friday May 29, 2009 at 11:00pm and 11:30pm. It was announced on Lamprey's website that the deal still had not been closed and that Three Sheets would premiere on June 5, 2009 instead with the first two of 19 new episodes.

However, on June 2, 2009, Lamprey reported that the deal was still not complete. On June 22, FLN finally made the official announcement that Three Sheets would begin broadcasting on July 20, 2009 and would air new episodes on Monday with rerun episodes scheduled to run Tuesday through Friday. Lamprey said on his website that the likelihood of the show being picked up for a fifth season will depend on the ratings of Season 4, and especially on the ratings of the premiere.

In October 2009, it was announced that FLN would be re-branded as Cooking Channel, with content similar to sister channel Food Network. Three Sheets would become homeless once again. In 2010 Three Sheets made a temporary stop on the Travel Channel after Zane fans pounded their Facebook page calling for Three Sheets to be added to their lineup, however after one month, no promotion at all and little support, Travel Channel dropped Three Sheets.

As of February 2011, Three Sheets is currently airing on Spike TV. No formal announcement or details of the deal have been announced.

Famous quotes containing the word sheets:

I am opposed to writing about the private lives of living authors and psychoanalyzing them while they are alive. Criticism is getting all mixed up with a combination of the Junior F.B.I.- men, discards from Freud and Jung and a sort of Columnist peep- hole and missing laundry list school.... Every young English professor sees gold in them dirty sheets now. Imagine what they can do with the soiled sheets of four legal beds by the same writer and you can see why their tongues are slavering.
