Zahid Husain, a close aide of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was the father of Supreme Court of Pakistan justice (R) Nasir Aslam Zahid. Zahid remained vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, he became Pakistan's first high commissioner in India, the founder and first governor of the State Bank of Pakistan from 1948 to 1953, the first chairman of the Planning Commission and the author of Pakistan's first five-year plan. He died in 1957.
