Zahid Ali

Zahid Ali (born June 30, 1977) is a Norwegian stand-up comedian. He is known for his participation in the TV2 show "Rikets Røst" which is hosted by Otto Jespersen. After the publicity this show resulted in, he has become a popular comedian and actor.

December 2006, Ali, of Pakistani descent, appeared in the series Jul i Tøyengata on Norwegian channel TVNorge, playing the lead role as shoe repairman Ali. The series was a daily Christmas calendar-type series, aired daily up until December 24. It was a spoof of an original children's Christmas series in Norway, Jul i Skomakergata. He received a Norwegian price for building relations(Brobyggerprisen 2010) between immigrants and Norwegian natives, his work is also about fighting pre-justice. He gathered in 2006 almost all of the most popular comedians in Norway raising money for Pakistan after the earth-quake disaster same year. He has acted in the films Izzat and Hellfjord.
