Remembering The Imperials

During the 2008 season, the Scorpions played four of their home games at Stark Field in El Centro, California, just 60 miles west of Yuma, and would don classic uniforms of the El Centro Imperials of the Sunset League from the late 1940s to early 1950s.

Famous quotes containing the words remembering the and/or remembering:

The happiest two-job marriages I saw during my research were ones in which men and women shared the housework and parenting. What couples called good communication often meant that they were good at saying thanks to one another for small aspects of taking care of the family. Making it to the school play, helping a child read, cooking dinner in good spirit, remembering the grocery list,... these were silver and gold of the marital exchange.
    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)

You know all my life I’ve hated funerals. The fuss and bother never brings anybody back. It just spoils remembering them as they really are. And when I see people actually facing it that way, I have to act like a sap.
    Jules Furthman (1888–1960)
