Career

Yukiru Sugisaki started drawing in elementary school and began creating manga at around age 17 or 18. Her manga Namaiki no "N" was published in 1995 in the Kadokawa Shoten shōjo magazine Monthly Asuka. After her next work Sotsugyou M, Sugisaki's popular D.N. Angel and The Candidate for Goddess series were simulatenously serialized in Monthly Asuka and the seinin magazine Comic Gum respectively. She also worked on the manga version of Brain Powerd with Yoshiyuki Tomino. Since then, Sugisaki has created numerous one-shots and serializations in many different genres. She considers shōjo to be an influence on her story writing and shōnen as an influence on her illustration style.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

A black boxer’s career is the perfect metaphor for the career of a black male. Every day is like being in the gym, sparring with impersonal opponents as one faces the rudeness and hostility that a black male must confront in the United States, where he is the object of both fear and fascination.
    Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)

From a hasty glance through the various tests I figure it out that I would be classified in Group B, indicating “Low Average Ability,” reserved usually for those just learning to speak the English Language and preparing for a career of holding a spike while another man hits it.
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)

I restore myself when I’m alone. A career is born in public—talent in privacy.
    Marilyn Monroe (1926–1962)
