"You're the Greatest Lover" is a single by Dutch girl group Luv'. It was first released in July 1978 by Philips/Phonogram Records. It appears on the 1978 debut album With Luv' and on compilations (Luv' Gold, 25 Jaar Na Waldolala, Completely In Luv'...). It is the group's international breakthrough as it was successful in a large part of Continental Europe and South Africa. Luv' reached its peak with this million seller. It is often considered as the signature song of the female pop act.
A decade later, the German subsidiary of Philips re-issued the track on a CD single. In 1993, the Dutch Top 40 hit "Megamix '93" was backed with an Eurodance remix of "The Greatest Lover".

Famous quotes containing the words greatest and/or lover:
“If I tell you that I would be disobeying the god and on that account it is impossible for me to keep quiet, you wont be persuaded by me, taking it that I am ironizing. And if I tell you that it is the greatest good for a human being to have discussions every day about virtue and the other things you hear me talking about, examining myself and others, and that the unexamined life is not livable for a human being, you will be even less persuaded.”
—Socrates (469399 B.C.)
“A lover is never a completely self-reliant person viewing the world through his own eyes, but a hostage to a certain delusion. He becomes a perjurer, all his thoughts and emotions being directed with reference, not to an accurate and just appraisal of the real world but rather to the safety and exaltation of his loved one, and the madness with which he pursues her, transmogrifying his attention, blinds him like a victim.”
—Alexander Theroux (b. 1940)
