A cover version in 2000, credited to Black Legend, originally sampled Barry White; however, White had not given permission for this, so the vocals were re-recorded by Black Legend member Elroy "Spoonface" Powell. This 2000 version - falling under the genre tribal house - was a hit across Europe, reaching number-one in the UK in June of that year. The song was the 40th best selling of 2000 in the UK.

Famous quotes containing the words black, legend and/or version:
“Often he bid me come and have a look
Up the brass barrel, velvet black inside,
At a star quaking in the other end.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Newspaperman: That was a magnificent work. There were these mass columns of Apaches in their war paint and feather bonnets. And here was Thursday leading his men in that heroic charge.
Capt. York: Correct in every detail.
Newspaperman: Hes become almost a legend already. Hes the hero of every schoolboy in America.”
—Frank S. Nugent (19081965)
“If the only new thing we have to offer is an improved version of the past, then today can only be inferior to yesterday. Hypnotised by images of the past, we risk losing all capacity for creative change.”
—Robert Hewison (b. 1943)
