Yossi Shain (b. September 21, 1956 in Israel) is an academic specializing in international relations, comparative politics and diaspora politics. Yossi received his PhD from Yale in 1988. He formerly headed the political science department at Tel Aviv University (located in Israel). From 1999-2003, he was the "Goldman Visiting Professor of Government" at Georgetown University (located in Washington DC, United States). At present he holds a dual-appointment at both Georgetown University and Tel Aviv University.
