Yosser Hughes (first name Jimmy uttered by his wife Maureen -- Jean Warren -- in the pilot episode) is a fictional character from Alan Bleasdale's 1982 (written in 1978) television series Boys from the Blackstuff, set in Liverpool, though ironically the character was played by Manchester-born actor Bernard Hill.
