Services
The bus services are operated by a selection of Mercedes-Benz Citaro articulated buses new in January 2009 and Wright Eclipse conventional single-deckers new in 2008. The previous bendy buses, Wright Eclipse Fusions, have left the fleet. The bendy buses are used for their characteristics of being able to carry large numbers of passengers, although most standing. The services run very frequently, with buses every 7–10 minutes. There are five coloured overground routes, forming part of the standard First York services. In 2008, the first of a fleet of new Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipses arrived, in a new silvery based livery.

Famous quotes containing the word services:
“It seems I impregnated Marge
So I do rather feel, by and large,
Some cash should be tendered
For services rendered,
But I cant quite decide what to charge.”
—Anonymous.
“Working women today are trying to achieve in the work world what men have achieved all alongbut men have always had the help of a woman at home who took care of all the other details of living! Today the working woman is also that woman at home, and without support services in the workplace and a respect for the work women do within and outside the home, the attempt to do both is taking its tollon women, on men, and on our children.”
—Jeanne Elium (20th century)
“True love ennobles and dignifies the material labors of life; and homely services rendered for loves sake have in them a poetry that is immortal.”
—Harriet Beecher Stowe (18111896)
