In 2005, he was voted the 65th-greatest Israeli of all time, in a poll by the Israeli news website Ynet to determine whom the general public considered the 200 Greatest Israelis.
An heir of Allon's was featured in an episode of the History Channel series, Pawn Stars. He sold a Bulova clock that was gifted to Allon by United States President Richard Nixon. Likely given to him while he served as Prime Minister.
