Yarra Yarra Rowing Club - Boathouse

Boathouse

The first clubhouse on the present site was opened in November 1904, but it was destroyed by fire in January 1929. The next clubhouse was built in 1930, standing for 75 years and refurbished on several occasions as the requirements of members changed.

The present clubhouse was constructed over the winter of 2005, during which time the fleet was spread far and wide across the State, however a small number of vessels were stored in a temporary compound between Banks RC and Melbourne Grammar allowing the squads to continue training. The shed was completed in November beginning a new era in Yarra Yarra history.
