Terminal and Facilities
The Yampa Valley Airport recently completed Phase II of a construction project that expanded the terminal, apron and parking lots. It will cost approximately $18 million to complete this project. The airport now has six (6) gates that can accommodate Boeing 757, Boeing 737, Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, Airbus A319, Canadair CRJ 200 and Canadair CRJ 700 aircraft operated by the various airlines that serve the airport. Like other small Colorado airports that serve ski resorts, there are no jetbridges, only open air airstairs. The private ramp has the ability to handle up to 30 private jets. In the winter months, larger private jets such as the Boeing 737 cannot be parked on the ramp due to lack of available space and thus must depart the airfield after deplaning passengers.
