The primary shrine was Sakurai’s Ōmiwa Shrine, but the there have been no records stating as such found at the shrine itself. There were no secondary shrines. The sōja was Kokufu Shrine (Takatori, Takaichi, Nara).

Famous quotes containing the word temples:

    This city now doth, like a garment, wear
    The beauty of the morning; silent bare,
    Ships, towers, domes, theatres and temples lie
    Open unto the fields and to the sky;
    All bright and glittering in the smokeless air.
    William Wordsworth (1770–1850)

    Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment. To such an extent indeed that one day, finding myself at the deathbed of a woman who had been and still was very dear to me, I caught myself in the act of focusing on her temples and automatically analyzing the succession of appropriately graded colors which death was imposing on her motionless face.
    Claude Monet (1840–1926)

    These temples grew as grows the grass;
    Art might obey, but not surpass.
    The passive Master lent his hand
    To the vast soul that o’er him planned.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
