Music Videos
"Solitaire/Unraveling" is the only song from the album to have a music video produced, which was directed by Dean Karr. The video is set in a Southern California airplane hangar and shows the band in specially designed masks. According to J Mann, the song "acts as a metaphor for the cycles of life and the duality of man". The drummer and founder member Skinny adds, "It's very much us: dark, creepy, surreal." It found moderate airplay on Uranium and MTV2.
According to the now defunct Mushroomhead.org, "Before I Die" was also going to have a video, but at the time, the band said they were "still shopping for a director". A montage video for "Before I Die" is included on the band's first DVD, Mushroomhead: Volume 1.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or videos:
“Slow, slow, fresh fount, keep time with my salt tears;
Yet slower yet, oh faintly gentle springs:
List to the heavy part the music bears,
Woe weeps out her division when she sings.
Droop herbs and flowers;
Fall grief in showers;
Our beauties are not ours:
Oh, I could still,
Like melting snow upon some craggy hill,
Drop, drop, drop, drop,
Since natures pride is, now, a withered daffodil.”
—Ben Jonson (15721637)
“Ambivalence reaches the level of schizophrenia in our treatment of violence among the young. Parents do not encourage violence, but neither do they take up arms against the industries which encourage it. Parents hide their eyes from the books and comics, slasher films, videos and lyrics which form the texture of an adolescent culture. While all successful societies have inhibited instinct, ours encourages it. Or at least we profess ourselves powerless to interfere with it.”
—C. John Sommerville (20th century)
