Xena: Warrior Princess comics, are spin-offs from the series of the same name, itself a spin-off series of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
Topps Comics and Dark Horse Comics created a series of comics tying in to the property. When the series was cancelled, the book inevitably failed; however, in 2007, Dynamite Entertainment acquired the rights to the book upon discovering it still had many fans.
