History
The X-Treme Sanctions Executive, also known by the abbreviation XSE, was founded by Storm, at the behest of the United Nations, in order to police the growing mutant population. Several former X-Treme X-Men members joined her group, including Sage, Bishop and Cannonball. Other X-Men to join their cause were Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Rachel Summers, using her mother's former codename, Marvel Girl.
Whilst on a trip to England, to visit Brian Braddock, the brother of Betsy Braddock, who was murdered on a mission with the X-Men by Vargas, Marvel Girl, Cannonball and Bishop were attacked by The Fury. Sage was able to construct a plan to defeat The Fury, however Cannonball was forced to take a leave of absence to recuperate from his injuries. Although their battle with The Fury had left Brian's ancestral home in ruins, when the XSE returned, they found the house re-built, and Brian and Meggan unharmed. Storm apologised to Brian for his sister's murder, but he did not blame her for what happened, as he knew that Betsy made her own choices. Upon leaving Braddock manor, Rachel sees Jamie, Brian and Betsy's older brother, before he quickly disappears. Sage later felt she had to rejoin the Hellfire Club, in order to keep an eye on Roberto da Costa, who had decided to become the new Lord Imperial, to ensure he was not corrupted by power, like Sabastian Shaw was.
The team was called to Spain, where Psylocke had reappeared alive and unharmed in the exact place of her death. She was placed under arrest by the Spanish government, and Storm's team had been contacted to collect her. The team later visited the Savage Land, where Rachel was subjected to the mind-control of a tribe of advanced dinosaur people, the Hauk'ka, causing her to believe she belonged to their species. She began to subconsciously use her telekinesis to alter her own genome in their image. The Hauk'ka's goal was to use Storm's power to control the weather to destroy humanity. When her powers became unstable, the Hauk'ka and the XSE were forced to make an alliance to stop her from destroying the planet. After their mission was successful, the XSE made peace with Hauk'ka, and Rachel was released from their mind control.
Following the events of M-Day, and the decimation of the majority of the world's mutant populace, the team shifted their attention to aiding the remaining mutant populace, liasing with the US Government's O*N*E program. Storm chose to work in Africa, to help the people of her native land.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“We are told that men protect us; that they are generous, even chivalric in their protection. Gentlemen, if your protectors were women, and they took all your property and your children, and paid you half as much for your work, though as well or better done than your own, would you think much of the chivalry which permitted you to sit in street-cars and picked up your pocket- handkerchief?”
—Mary B. Clay, U.S. suffragist. As quoted in History of Woman Suffrage, vol. 4, ch. 3, by Susan B. Anthony and Ida Husted Harper (1902)
“In the history of the human mind, these glowing and ruddy fables precede the noonday thoughts of men, as Aurora the suns rays. The matutine intellect of the poet, keeping in advance of the glare of philosophy, always dwells in this auroral atmosphere.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“A people without history
Is not redeemed from time, for history is a pattern
Of timeless moments.”
—T.S. (Thomas Stearns)
