Woodham Brothers

Woodham Brothers Ltd is a trading business, based mainly around activities and premises located within Barry Docks, in Barry, South Wales. It is noted globally for its 1960s activity as a scrapyard (hence its colloquial name of Barry Scrapyard), where nearly 300 withdrawn British Railways steam locomotives were sent, from which 213 were rescued for the developing railway preservation movement.

Famous quotes containing the word brothers:

What has influenced my life more than any other single thing has been my stammer. Had I not stammered I would probably ... have gone to Cambridge as my brothers did, perhaps have become a don and every now and then published a dreary book about French literature.
    W. Somerset Maugham (1874–1965)
