Transformers Film Series
Far more is revealed about the Witwicky family in the Transformers film series than in the original series. However, the family is conprised of completely different members than the original family was. Many of the family members are homages to Generation 1 character such as Sam (the main protagonist) and his father, Ron, are based of the G1 characters Spike, and his father Sparkplug. In Transformers: Dark of the Moon, a character named Carly Spencer, based off the G1 character Carly Witwicky, appeared as a replacement to Mikaela Banes, after Megan Fox was fired. The motto of this Witwicky family is "No sacrifice, no victory".
