Famous quotes containing the words light and/or white:

Fortune makes our virtues and vices visible, just as light does the objects of sight.
François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (1613–1680)

    I have put a padlock
on you, Mother, dear dead human,
    so that your great bells,
    those dear white ponies,
    can go galloping, galloping,
    wherever you are.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
