Movie Version of The Hobbit
In a May 2008 joint online interview, producer Peter Jackson and director at the time Guillermo del Toro said that the White Council will be appearing in their three-movie adaptation of The Hobbit, (Jackson announced it would be a trilogy in the ComicCon 2012) now officially set for release in 2012-14. Promotional material for the first film includes Elrond, Galadriel, Gandalf and Saruman in discussions around a table.
