Wei (state)
The State of Wei (simplified Chinese: 魏国; traditional Chinese: 魏國; pinyin: Wèi), sometimes romanized Ngwei to distinguish it from Wey, was a Zhou Dynasty vassal state during the Warring States Period (475–221 BCE) of Chinese history. Its territory lay between the states of Qin and Qi and included parts of modern day Henan, Hebei, Shanxi and Shandong. After its capital was moved from Anyi to Daliang (today Kaifeng) during the reign of King Hui of Wei, Wei was also called the state of Liang (梁国).
