Wazir (Pashtun Tribe) - History

History

The original homeland of the Wazirs was in the Birmal area of Afghanistan. In the later 14th century, they migrated eastwards, and fell into dispute with the Khattak tribe of Afghans who were settled in Shawal and the Kohat area north of Tochi. The Wazirs succeeded to defeat the Khattaks, and pushed them further northeastwards. The Wazirs then settled in Shuidar, and the whole territory as far as the Gomal River.

    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
