Culture
The district hosts the Samakka-Saramma Jatara (congregation). Every two years, approximately ten million people converge over three days around the small village of Tadvai, 90 km from Warangal bus stand. This fair commemorates the valiant fight put up by a mother-daughter combination with the reigning rulers over an unjust law.
Warangal is an excellent abode of fine arts and literature. Many art forms from folklore to the modern arts of singing, dance, painting, poetry and films have been flourished in the land.
Dancing monkeys is the major attraction of the people and a source of income for several residents.

Famous quotes containing the word culture:
“The local is a shabby thing. Theres nothing worse than bringing us back down to our own little corner, our own territory, the radiant promiscuity of the face to face. A culture which has taken the risk of the universal, must perish by the universal.”
—Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
“The highest end of government is the culture of men.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“... there are some who, believing that all is for the best in the best of possible worlds, and that to-morrow is necessarily better than to-day, may think that if culture is a good thing we shall infallibly be found to have more of it that we had a generation since; and that if we can be shown not to have more of it, it can be shown not to be worth seeking.”
—Katharine Fullerton Gerould (18791944)
