Visitor's Centre
The W.A.C. Bennett Dam Visitor Centre is located near the dam, overlooking Williston Lake Reservoir. The centre features exhibits on the dam, hydroelectricity, and the area's natural and cultural history. There is also a video theatre and a cafe. Guided tours are provided periodically on most days, which include a bus ride into the earthen dam, a paced walk through many of the underground tunnels, and views of the generator room. Due to terrorism security concerns, photography is prohibited within the dam.

Famous quotes containing the words visitor and/or centre:
“In verity ... we are the poor. This humanity we would claim for ourselves is the legacy, not only of the Enlightenment, but of the thousands and thousands of European peasants and poor townspeople who came here bringing their humanity and their sufferings with them. It is the absence of a stable upper class that is responsible for much of the vulgarity of the American scene. Should we blush before the visitor for this deficiency?”
—Mary McCarthy (19121989)
“In the centre of his cage
The pacing animal
Surveys the jungle cove
And slicks his slithering wiles
To turn the venereal awl
In the livid wound of love.”
—Allen Tate (18991979)
