Vladislav Surkov
Vladislav Yuryevich Surkov (Russian: Владисла́в Ю́рьевич Сурко́в, born Aslambek Andarbekovich Dudaev) (born 21 September 1964) is a Russian businessman and politician who has been Deputy Prime Minister since December 2011. Previously he was First Deputy of the Chief of the Russian Presidential Administration from 1999 to 2011. Vladislav Surkov is widely seen as the main ideologist of the Kremlin. Allegedly he contributed greatly to the electoral victory of President Vladimir Putin in 2004.
Surkov is seen as the main architect of the current Russian political system, often described as "sovereign" or "managed" democracy.
